UPDATE - Weight on 05-15-10 was 217lbs!
~UPDATED PIC 07/25/10~ Above is Rowdy River Ranch's Big-N-Rich. (DOB 04-14-09) We decided to keep this buck when his sale fell through and boy are we glad we did! The pics of this buck don't even do this boy full justice. He is just SO correct in every way! He has King's Holy Moly on the top side and DLP3 Falcon's Autumn on the bottom. King's Holy Moly is out of Ash Creek Heat Seeker (Eggs Ryals Magnum *ENNOBLED* x Ashcreek Bright Eyes *ENNOBLED*) and King's Acceleration (JRP Moondo *ENNOBLED* x JLS M169). Autumn is out of CCBG Falcon (Raff Boers Sky Hook x CCBG Jacqueline) and SWB Windcall Faberge (Tri Quest Windcall Greeley x WGE Coco). Big-N-Rich is now a proven sire, fathering kids when he was just 6 months old. We were incredibly happy with his first kid crop, even though it was out of just 2 does. We will definitely be using this buck for generations to come! He has an equally incredible sister, "Holly Molly", please see her on the Trad. Does page. Big-N-Rich weighed 11.15 lbs at birth and 63 lbs at 12 weeks. On 11-21-09 he weighed 139 lbs. We can't thank Joanie Zier enough for allowing us to breed Autumn to King's Holy Moly to create this beauty!!!!! See more info on Moly on our Ref Sires/Tank page.

R1010 T7 (ABGA #10282603) (IBGA # I-08-234-006)
UPDATE - DNA typing is done and on file with UC Davis!
~UPDATED PIC 06-19-10~ "Larry" (DOB 06-17-05) is 50% South African, 50% Australian and 25% CODI / PCI. His Australian grandparents were born in 1988 and 1989, so his genetic line is very old. (He looks a little funny now since losing his left horn in a horrific fight with our buck Tate). Originally bred by Gary and Linda Maddox of Paden, OK, he has Sky N50 Pipin' Hot on the top side and SO Senter Ozark P721 on the bottom. Sky N50 Pipin' Hot is out of DOW Pipeline *ENNOBLED* (Downen Big 85 *ENNOBLED* x Lobola S.A. *ENNOBLED*) and DOW2 J37 (Ubora **ENNOBLED** x 519 994-352 *ENNOBLED*). Larry is dog-gentle and extremely friendly, and his first kid crop was incredible. All kids had nice Roman heads, big bones, tons of muscle, and high weaning weights. Disposition was passed on as well. See his daughter Gretchen on the Spot/Paint Does page. Below is another notable doe kid. We could not be more pleased with Larry. NOTE - Larry has not been fitted for this picture...in fact he has NEVER been fitted. All pics taken here are always of goats as they are in their natural "working clothes".
Paige, (above) twin doeling out of a commercial doe, weaning weight 64 lbs @16 weeks.

Rowdy River Ranch Little Man Tate (ABGA #10431287) (IBGA # I-08-217-102)
UPDATE - DNA typing is done and on file with UC Davis!
UPDATE - Weight on 05-15-10 was 270lbs!
~UPDATED PIC 06-19-10~ Above is "Little Man" (DOB 05-03-08). He is full South African, his sire is SB1 OBA Tate (SB1 Mr CODI Black x SB1 Miss CODI Two Socks) and dam is DLP3 Falcon's Summer (CCBG Falcon x DLP3 Montia). He is 50% CODI / PCI. Appropriately nicknamed "Gargantua", Little Man has tremendous width, starting at the hornset and continuing throughout his body, heavy muscling, incredible thickness of bone and a Roman head. As he gets older, he continues to get wider, taller, longer, and more muscular. At just 2 years old he has dwarfed his father in size. We believe when he is fully mature he will be our biggest buck. Little Man has the "old school" look we are striving for in our breeding program with lots and lots of big wrinkles. He is a proven herd sire who reproduces himself and continues type in his progeny. And to think...this buck was literally LAUGHED out of the showring at 3 months old because he was slow maturing and so much smaller than his competitors...well, I would really like to see people laugh at him now!
~Live coverage breeding available~
If you wish, you may bring your does here to be bred. You must show proof of negative CL tests on every doe NO EXCEPTIONS and does must be of quality breeding health. CAUTION - Our bucks are big. We will NOT risk injury to anyone's does for the sake of breeding. It would be a good idea to view them in person and decide if your does are big enough to breed to them. Rowdy River Ranch Big-N-Rich is our youngest and therefore our smallest (but not for long) buck. Below are stud fees and descriptions of our buck's kids:
Stud fee for R1010 T7 (Larry) is $125.00 per doe. NOTE - He is our biggest buck. If you want him to breed your does make sure they are your biggest, stoutest ones. Larry's kids are muscular and correct teated. He will clean up the kids' teats if bred to a fish-teated doe. He throws some dandy replacement does and show wethers as well as herd sire quality bucks. He is great all around herd sire for no matter what you need.
Stud fee for Rowdy River Ranch Big-N-Rich is $125.00 per doe. NOTE - If you want the lines that produce the "explosive growth" kids, Big-N-Rich is the buck for you. He is our "weather-maker" buck indeed. Breed to him for fast-growing show wethers as he himself weighed 217lbs at 11 months.
Stud fee for SB1 OBA Tate is $150.00 per doe. NOTE - If you are looking to breed for a herd sire to keep for your own, THIS IS THE BUCK WE RECOMMEND!! He throws SUPER STUDS and many of his buck progeny are being used in breeding programs all across Montana with excellent results, including here at Rowdy River Ranch. They are big, thick, and correct in every way and throw awesome buck and doe kids themselves. 99% of Tate's buck kids are colored, regardless of the color of the doe. His doe kids are nice, but his bucks are SOMETHING ELSE! If you are looking for quality in color for either buck or doe kids, Tate is the sire for you, but they will NOT be fast-maturing. Tate's kids grow slow but end up HUGE!
Stud fee for Rowdy River Ranch Little Man Tate is $125.00 per doe. NOTE - Little Man reproduces himself consistently in both his buck and doe kids. Use him for quality size in your colored herd. They also will NOT be fast maturing, but will be correct in structure and end up HUGE!
We DO NOT allow any outside does to be bred to our bucks if they are under 1 year of age. WE KNOW THERE ARE BREEDERS OUT THERE WHO WILL DISAGREE, but we view breeding does to kid on or before their first birthday the same way we would view a 11 or 12 year old human female having a baby. Just because nature has given them cycles at an early age doesn't mean they should be put to use. We raise big, South African goats who have BIG babies that weigh between 10 and 12lbs. Does under 1 year of age are not structurally big enough to have the kids on their own, which is what they should be expected to do. Breeding an extremely young doe, at least to our bucks, will cost you both your doe and your kids. We will not have that on our conscience. Some exceptions may be made if your doe is 10 months old but in that case the doe must weigh at least 100lbs! Whether your does are fit to be bred is up to OUR discretion and WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE OUTSIDE BREEDING SERVICES TO ANYONE!!
